AirLink101 SuperG Wireless Cardbus Adapter Installation Workaround

I've got a nice AirLink101 AWLC4130 wireless G adapter at Fry's on sale. It'd help me replace my slow and outdated wireless B adapter. But after inserting the installation disc, the installation program popped up and showed the following error message:

Flash Object: E:\AutoPlay\Flash\AWLC4130_autorun.swf

Unable to display object: Macromedia Flash Player is not installed.

Ironically, I can't install the Adobe Flash Player without getting on the Internet. And I can't get on the Internet if I can't install the driver for the network card. Who ever wrote the installing software didn't quite think things through.

Fortunately, you can run the driver and utility setup software directly on the disc's Utility directory. Just open up the disc content, enter the Utility directory, and double-click Setup.exe. After installing the software, reboot the computer, insert the Cardbus network adapter, and away you go.

Hello. I am having the same problem here and just got a new laptop and wireless.. Where do I go to open up the disc directory? What do I click on? I'm not quite computer savvy so I am not sure how to do this procedure... It'd be nice if you could explain. =)

Thanks

Title: Installing the AirLink101 SuperG Wireless Cardbus Adapter AWLC4130 on Windows Vista
Weblog: GearHack
Excerpt: Just tried to install the AirLink101 wireless G adapter on Windows Vista. The driver supplied on the installation disc works fine on Windows XP, but failed to install on Windows Vista. After downloading the basic AWLC4130 driver from the AirLink101 web site, Windows Vista installed it flawlessly. Yo . . .
