Flickr and Yahoo! Account Merge Login Failure

Today, I tried to log into my five years old Flickr account. It automatically detected that I have a Yahoo! account as well. So it attempted to merge the two account. After providing the username and password for both account, Flickr successfully merged my accounts and redirected me to its root site. However, when Firefox tried to load the site, it provide the following error message:

The page isn't redirecting properly
Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.
* This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept
cookies.

So now I can't log into Flickr at all. I can't even see its main site. Or even log out. Anyone had this problem before?

I cleared all my private data (Browser History, Download History, Saved Form and Search History, Cache, Cookies, and Authenticated Sessions) in Firefox. I was able to get to the Flickr main page.

But I am still still having log-in problem:

Ooops
Your registration was successful.
However, we couldn't log you in automatically because it looks like you don't have cookies enabled.
There are a few options:
* Clear your existing Flickr cookies
* Check that your cookies are actually enabled (Click here for instructions on how to enable your cookies.)
* If you've done both of these things, and restarted your browser, and tried to log in and it's still not working, please contact us.

My cookies are enabled. My browser has been restarted. Looks like it's time to contact their support.

There are a few things that some members have mentioned may affect your ability to login or view Flickr.
Merging Accounts
If you're being asked to "merge" your accounts but can't get into your Flickr account after signing into Yahoo, please don't panic, and whatever you do, don't delete your Yahoo account.
Instead, provide us with your Flickr account name, or a link directly to the account you're trying to access and we'll be able to tell you the correct log in to use.
There's also a chance you have more than one Yahoo! account - if that's the case, try signing out of everything and signing in again with that second account.
Cookies
If you're seeing an error message about cookies, here are some tips to try to log in:
* If you use a firewall or other computer security software, try temporarily disabling it and try to login- if it was successful you may need to look at the application preferences to allow flickr.com and yahoo.com domains
* Try turning your modem or router off and on again
* Try opening Flickr in a different browser (If you can log in with a different browser, there might be some security settings in the first one that you can change to get access.)
* Set your cookies to enable ALL cookies
* If you are using a browser provided by your Internet Service Provider, it may be incompatible. You might like to try using a browser like Firefox, available for free download here.
If you still can't get in, ask someone at Flickr to help you.

It doesn't look like any of these solutions will work.

I sent their support team an e-mail. Today, I got back an e-mail that said they can't help me because the problem is on my side. I tried to log on again today, but it worked. So I don't know if they did something, or the problem just fixes itself.

I had the same issue yesterday, raised an issue with the flickr help system and it is resolved this morning, though no notification of what they did, if anything.

For me, disabling https-everywhere for Flickr.com (at least during loging) helped.
