replace a notebook hard drive with a CompactFlash

would a compact flash card work in place of my laptop's hard drive?

That's a very interesting idea, kendall. Sometimes I wonder the same thing. Do you mean to insert a CompactFlash card through a PCMCIA adapter and inserting it onto the IDE cable?
