Custom PID's for ScanGenPro don't work

Alex,

I see this:
http://www.alobdscanner.com/alOBDScanGenProHelp.php

I read "Creating a Custom PID" and typed in the entire equation, but it never ever saves it to the list. Every time I exit the APP, I have to re-type in everything. It's not very useful, and its very easy to make a mistake. If you make a mistake, you have to retype everything!!!

Right now, you and Torque (and an iphone app) are the only ones that can do a custom PID. If you have a hybrid/EV or anything similar, that is about the only way to get to the extended PID's.

Is there a way you could add an option to import a PID list, so it displays on the list of parameters?

Travis,
Thank you for purchasing the app. I do apologize for delayed response. I did look into what you're describing. You are correct, there is no way to save a custom PID. The feature of the user being able to import a list of PIDs was not planned because the syntax happens to be fairly complex, I was not sure an average user would be able to create a valid PID string. From the description of what you're trying to do, you appear to be an expert not only in OBDII, but in RPN as well. For now, the best way I can help you is to suggest a work around: Using a ES File Manager, create a text file with your command(s). Copy a command you need into clipboard and paste it every time you need the PID. I will look into what it would take to be able to import a list of custom PIDs into the app. , however, cannot promise anything.

Thank you again for your interest and purchase.

Unfortunately, it won't work for me as it is. I need to be able to start something up and have it monitor everything that is on a list. The website is a little vague about the feature and doesn't say if multiple can be set up or saved.

Is there a way to get a refund? This won't work for what I'm using it for.

Travis,
If you choose the stock PIDs (supplied by the app), it will remember them the next time you start it up (up to 4 PIDs). All you have to do is to touch the "Start" button. To "subscribe" to more than one PID, long-press on second, third and forth desired PID.
I apologize for your trouble, but I cannot issue a refund as per policies. The application functions as designed and 15 min trial period has elapsed. Again, I am sorry for the inconvenience.

Thank you.

4 isn't enough, unfortunately. I'm using with an EV, so many of the PID's are custom, and I want to monitor as many as possible.

Nice app for what it is. It works with other values on my Gas vehicle..
