Can't Upload Image to FacebookToday, I had a really strange problem. I attempted to upload thirteen images to Facebook. However, all images showed up except for two of them. And no matter how many times I attempted to upload these two images to Facebook, the operations seemed successful, but these two images wouldn't show up in the album. Upon closer examination of these two images, I noticed how they were different than the eleven other images; they are much taller than they are wide. I attached an example below. With this observation, I tried to trick Facebook by increasing the width of these two images. I used Gimp, the free photo editing software, to changed the canvas width to match the canvas height. After saving the images, I uploaded them to the Facebook album. Immediately, the two images were added and showing. See this Facebook album for illustration of this work-around: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.172859292782158.397 . . . It's not clear whether Facebook intended to filter out long images or if it is a simple bug on their developer's part. But at least now there is a work-around to upload long images and photographs.
