BF3 4 GB patch

Hi all,

There was a 4 GB BF3 patch released on Tuesday, make sure you download it beforehand. The new patch also includes a color blind mode, so it should make the game easier to play now.

I logged onto Origin last night and noticed it started downloading this huge file. So I guess I got this patch now.

Didn't realized that there is a color blind mode in this patch. I'll have to check it out. Do you know what the color blind mode does? Sure, it helps color blind people, but I'm asking specifics (e.g. turns enemy units on mini-map blue instead of green, make the mountain completely b/w, etc.).

I haven't played since the patch, I don't even know how to turn it on. But as far as I know, it just changes the hud color, i.e. enemy / team / squad colors, objectives colors, chat text color, etc, maybe mini map, not sure. I'm pretty sure object colors, such as mountain, houses are not going to be effected. I also heard that the feedback for this mode has been very positive. Hope this helps.

I'm new to BF3 and I'm also color blind. I did the 4 gig patch but I do not see an color bind selection in the options. I do have Open Screen Adjust and Brightness under Video in Options. Can someone explain what I'm doing wrong?

Under Video in Options, there should be an "COLORBLIND SUPPORT". Set that to "ON". It should be the same in single player campaign and multiplayer mode.
