Battlefield 3: Change Settings Without Using Web Launcher

EA authentication servers were down last night. So Origin stayed in "offline" mode. I launched Battlefield 3 just for kicks. And surprisingly, it never launched the web browser. It immediately loaded single-player campaign mode, where can I change options and test out game play on the fly.

I suspect you can do it even if the EA authentication servers are up and running. Just set Origin to "offline" mode manually and launch BF3. Once you are happy with all your settings, you can switch Origin to online mode and play with all the correct settings.
