Hellgate: London - No CD

It is really quite thoughtful of the Hellgate: London designers to allow multiplayer game to boot without the original CD-ROM. I suppose the idea is that in order to play online, you would have to associate your user name with the CD-key that came with the game on the back of the user manual. And that line of thinking on the designer's part is exactly right. We definitely need more "no CD" games. It is a royal pain to dig through all my hand boxes just to switch a game. At this point you still need the original CD-ROM to play in single-player mode. Hopefully that will change with future official patches.
