League of Legends: Queue for the Proving Ground

Quietly, Riot released a new map for League of Legends. It's called "The Proving Ground". This map is made based on the original tutorial map and the ARAM (All Random All Middle) game mode. Whereas, the ARAM game mode is an honor system, where the players stick to the middle lane, and don't go back to base until death, "The Proving Ground" enforces the rule. You can only find this in "Custom Games"; there are no matchmaking for it yet.

Without matchmaking, it makes playing this map a bit difficult with friends or a pre-made team. Here is the trick, go into "Custom Games" and select "Join Game". Using the list of game lobbies, find a game with twice as many slots available as you have pre-made team members. For example, if there are three of you, then you need to find a game with six slots open. That way, when the three of you join, all three of you can switch to the same team.

If you have a pre-made team of five, then it's better for you to create an ARAM custom game yourself, so that everyone can get on the same side.

This queuing method at least gets you and your friends to play on the same team. But it would be even better if Riot introduces matchmaking with elo. Until that day, this is the best way to queue with friends.
