PlanetSide 2: Target Practice

Much like any first person shooter (FPS) games out there, PlanetSide 2's futuristic weapons has recoil. To be good in a FPS game, one of the first tactics is to practice shooting targets. Unfortunately, like most FPS games out there, PlanetSide 2 doesn't provide a in-game shooting range. But realistically, that shouldn't stop you from coming up with your own.

For example, in the following video, I demonstrated using an ammo supply tower to practice. As you hold down the mouse button to fire, the automatic shots causes the gun to recoil and you will spray all over the place. In this video, I practiced keeping the cone of fire within barrel on the side of the ammo tower by moving the mouse to counter recoil while holding the mouse button down. Once I can do that with the barrel, I move onto a smaller target; the narrow slits on the barrel.

Choose your own practice target. Pick a rock on the ground, a bush on the side of a hill. Build your own shooting range in game. After some practice, you'll find that you are far more efficient at killing the enemy while spraying. You'll want to practice with each gun you use.
