Why Infrared Laser on Razer Naga?

When you pick up a Razer Naga mouse, there is no light under it, unlike other optical mouse on the market. It's so strange that they choose to use infrared LED. This mouse is lit everywhere else--mouse buttons, number pad, and pulsing logo. Then you turn it upside-down and nothing. I wish they regular LED to round out the flash.
