Info-ZIP 2.3 on Red Hat Linux can not handle archive larger than 2GB

Just found out this week that ZIP 2.3 from Info-ZIP can not create zip archives larger than 2 gigabytes. If you try to create one, it will report "File size limit exceeded", leave a 2 GB temp file in the directory, and quit. ZIP 2.3 is distributed as part of Red Hat 8.
