Meshtastic Pitfall #3 - Keeping the Data Cable Plugged InI was flashing Meshtastic 2.5.8 Beta onto a new Heltec V3 board, so I plugged the data cable into both the board and the computer. After successfully flashing the firmware, the Heltec V3 board rebooted... and rebooted... and rebooted... After continuously rebooting 5 times, I thought maybe something was wrong with the 2.5.8 Beta firmware. So I flashed the 2.4.2 Beta firmware, which I now have several radios running. But, still, the Heltec V3 continued to reboot. Flustered, I unplugged the Heltec V3 board from the data cable to prepare for its return to Amazon, which, of course, killed its power. For fun or last hope, I plugged the battery into it... and it booted just fine! Duke
