Ubuntu: Revealing Dash Without the MouseI now have Ubuntu 12.10 installed on my laptop and using it quite extensively. When I'm at home, my laptop is docked on my desk, but I don't use it directly. Instead, I use VNC to connect to it. Depending on the desktop operating system I use, I either use UltraVNC on Windows or use TightVNC on Linux. In either case, the mouse is useless when attempting to reveal the Unity Dash launcher (in auto-hide mode). But I managed to figure out a few ways to reveal Dash without using the mouse. 1. Use the Windows key. This key works when you are on the Ubuntu computer itself, or when accessing it via TightVNC on Linux. 2. Use Alt-F2. This key combo brings up the Dash search bar, effectively revealing the Dash taskbar. It works on Windows. But not too well on Linux, because it's usually a shortcut key for the operating system. 3. Use Alt-F1. This shortcut reveals the Dash taskbar. Jake
