Wi-Fi SDIO Card for Palm interchangeable with Pocket PC?
Funny thing is that Office Depot and CompUSA both carry the AmbiCom WL11-SD 802.11B 11MBPS Sdio Card through Amazon. Yet, they don't have it at their local stores. Office Depot even carries an additional Socket S SDIO Wlan Card through Amazon. But again, it's not available at its local store. What I really want is the SanDisk Connect 256 MB + WiFi SD Card, except that it is no longer being stocked anywhere. Is this product being obsoleted? Makes me wonder what's going on with the Wi-Fi SDIO industry. But anyway, back to hacking gears . . . so what is so different between say the PalmOne P10952U 802.11 Wi-Fi SDIO Card for Tungsten T3 and Zire 72 and the AmbiCom WL11-SD 802.11B 11MBPS Sdio Card? Why can't they operate interchangeable between a Palm and a Pocket PC? Or could they? Are the manufacturers just trying to throw the consumer off through labeling? Chieh Cheng
