BenQ JoyBook Lite

When BenQ launched the JoyBook Lite Netbook in its home market of Taiwan, netbook users were excited with what looked like an artistic and functional new netbook. The first thing that people notice about the BenQ JoyBook Lite is the lid. All netbooks don't have to look alike and the BenQ JoyBook Lite proves that point. Other netbooks that are arriving on the market are looking for ways to stand out among the crowd, and the BenQ JoyBook Lite decided to stand out with its artistic lid. The lid of the netbook is covered with cute little emoticons. The cutesy look of the netbook is incredibly enticing to students and girls who prefer the aesthetic ambiance the BenQ JoyBook Lite gives off. The netbook is available in white, black, pink, or blue. Techies and executives, however, need more than a cute little lid. They need substance and the BenQ JoyBook Lite delivers that substance in ways such as keyboard space, battery life, weight, and specs.

The keyboard is not as cramped as many of the netbooks on the market. The keyboard on the BenQ JoyBook Lite is 90% the size of some regular notebooks. The most impressive feature on the BenQ JoyBook Lite is the battery life. The battery lasts for up to eight hours which has many of its users falling in love with the happy little netbook. Most netbooks die after only a couple of hours but the BenQ JoyBook Lite keeps living on due to its efficient battery.

There are definitely pros to owning a BenQ JoyBook Lite. Some of the good points of the netbook includes good storage, easy access to Ram, and an unoccupied mini PCIe slot. The screen is approximately 10.1 inches with a display of 1,024 x 600 resolution. There is a 1.6GHz processor, a 4-cell battery, and 1GB of RAM. The graphics processor on the netbook is upgradable. The netbook weighs 2.6 pounds or 3.2 pounds if you carry the AC adapter with you. Other perks like WiFi Bluetooth, ethernet port, and 3.5G support make the The BenQ JoyBook Lite appealing to consumers whose main use of netbooks is internet surfing.

The BenQ JoyBook Lite can be purchased for about $550. For the total price, netbook users have the ability to watch movies, send emails, browse the web, work on various documents (the netbook is equipped with Microsoft Word) and have portable files at their fingertips. The designers of the The BenQ JoyBook Lite also boast that the netbook is sturdier than others on the market.

Overall, the BenQ JoyBook Lite delivers a good deal of functionality and value for the money when compared to similar netbooks on the market. Those who aren't yet ready to spend over five hundred dollars on a netbook always have the opportunity to buy a cheaper netbook like the Belco Alpha 400, but with the reduction in price comes a reduction in power and usability. It is up to the consumer to determine what is more important; money or power.
