cold boot encryption attacksand you trusted truecrypt, and bitlocker and the rest... charlie So why does it require a cold boot? Wouldn't warm boot work even better? Chieh Cheng they just call it that. it's a cold boot because you can do it from a machine off state and even take out the memory and use another system. that's cold boot. plus if you watched the demo you see that they actually take out the battery and reboot it. that's a cold boot. charlie make sure you do a full shutdown before you cross the border next time.
