Nexus One - A Remarkable Device

Google launched a new over-hyped android phone to everyone called Nexus One. Nexus One is a best android phone for two reasons, hardware and software. The Nexus One is a slick and beautiful phone which makes the other phones out dated. It has subtle curves and feels less boxy. The face of the phone curves slightly at the bottom. It bears four buttons and a trackball at the bottom. The screen size is 3.7 inches, WVGA AMOLED screen which delivers 720 x 480. The display is simply incredible. The background images of the phone are quite awesome. The ten background images seem to be animating and they are called as Live Wallpapers. The Live Wallpapers available with this phone are galaxy, grass, many, magic smoke, nexus, plar clock, spectrum, VU meter, water and waveform.

The home screen contains two options. One to unlock the phone which is at the lower left side of the display. The second option on the lower right side will mute or un-mute the phone. Google added a familiar feature in this phone called HTC trackball which allows the users to scroll left and right. The noise cancelling feature allows the users to hear good sound when the user is in a noisy area. The proximity sensor feature will automatically dim everything when the user place the phone near the ear and it makes the screen bright when it is away from the ear. The speaker phone sound quality is excellent. The camera feature of the phone has five Megapixels of resolution having mechanical autofocus and LED flash. When the user turns to camera mode the phone will automatically set in landscape mode offering the snap shot facility. Videos can be captured at 27 frames per second.

The Nexus One activity speed is amazing. Navigating the phone, installing applications and surfing is very fast. The default application comes with Nexus One is “car home”. This application includes five options, contacts, navigation, search, voice search and view map. The exciting one is navigation which takes the user to Google maps. An additional fantastic feature comes with this phone is voice to text option. For emails, text messages we don't have to type anything and for that we have to simply talk. This feature works well in this phone. For 30 minutes of charging the phone, the user can use this phone 12 hours continuously. The phone weighs 100 grams without battery and 130 grams with battery.
