Precise Selection with Android Browser

Since summer time, I moved from a phone with Windows Mobile operating system to a phone with Android operating system. The new operating system used the touch interface rather than the traditional stylus interface.

Although I like the touch interface, the stylus is very useful as well. The finger is really not a precise instrument like the stylus. So when tapping the links in the browser, it's common to touch nearby links. With the stylus, that occurs far less often. In many cases, it's not a big deal. But if you are working on something important, where the "approve" link is right next to the "delete" link, you'll need the more precise tap.

Here is a trick to get you that precise tap in Android Browser. This trick is no match to the stylus at speed, but it is just as precise if not nore so.

Use the joystick to select the link you want to click on. Press the joystick button to activate it. It's that easy. And now you can get the work done with less mistakes.

If your Android device has a physical keyboard, you can also use the arrows to move from link to link. The only problem ... you will still have to use the center button on the direction pad ... because the RETURN key does nothing and the SPACE key moves down one page.

Google programmers need to make the ENTER key click the link.
