Trouble closing door - torque master issue

13 year old system (torque master counterbalance system, 16 or 18ft door) is having an issue closing. Door nears the bottom (~ 2 ft) and is shaky, many times stopping and re-opening. Started about a year ago so I increased downward force at drive system. I know this isn't the correct solution, but has gotten me by for a while. Has gotten worse now. With drive disengaged, it's relatively easy to open the door by hand, but closing it is difficult. Seems to be caused by the left side of torque tube. Is this a broken spring issue? Could something be binding inside? It's definitely not the motor/drive. Cables are tight, both sides set to 16. Haven't had time to take apart and investigate. Any thoughts?
