Google Android Button Functions on HTC Touch (Verizon XV6900, Vogue)

The HTC Touch has five buttons, a slider, and directional keys. The five buttons are: Power, Camera, Call (button on the left), End (button on the right), and D-Pad Center.

Power Button

Turn On: When the HTC Touch phone is completely off, pressing this button will turn it on and boot into Windows Mobile 6.1.

Wake-Up: Press this button to wake-up Android when it is asleep.

Keyboard: Hold this button down to bring up the keyboard.

Menu: While Android is on, press this button to bring up the context menu for the app.

Rotate Screen: It's a bit tricky, but you can rotate the screen with the following button sequence:

  1. Hold down the Power button.
  2. Hold down either the left or the right directional pad button.
  3. Let go of the Power button.
  4. Let go of the D-Pad button.

Camera Button

Back: Press this button goes back a page.

Home: Hold this button down and Android will go back to home.

Call Button

Phone: Press this button to put Android in Phone mode.

Voice Dialer: Hold this button down to start "Voice Dialer".

End Button

Sleep: Pressing this button puts the Android to sleep.

Phone Options: Hold this button down and you will see the menu with the following choices: "Silent mode", "Airplane mode", "Reboot phone", and "Power off".
