Lenovo ThinkPad X390 Yoga Display Won't Turn Back On After Closing the Lid

After upgrading to Windows 11, my Lenovo ThinkPad X390 Yoga's display won't come back on after closing the lid and reopening it. I've configured "Closing the lid will make my PC" to "Do nothing" for both plugged-in and on battery; I changed these values in both "Control Panel" and Windows 11 "Settings". But every time I close the lid, the display always turns off. When I reopen the lid nothing happens. The only thing I can do is to hold the power button down for 10 seconds to completely power down the computer.

One work-around is to configure both "Control Panel" and Windows 11 "Settings" to "Sleep" when the lid is closed. In this manner, the laptop will automatically go into sleep mode. And when I open the lid, the laptop will wake up again. But it didn't work every time. Many time, the display is stuck in the off state.

Even when it worked, it's not my preferred method, because I do want the computer to continue processing my tasks when I close the lid to walk around. The only way I can do that now is to fold the laptop into a tablet. But the screen is still touch sensitive in this manner.

In the end, I change the settings back to "Do nothing". And I manually put the computer to sleep before closing the lid. Then after opening the lid, I press the power button to wake the computer up. So far, this method seems to work every time. It just can't process any tasks while it's asleep.
