PlanetSide 2: Sunderer Deployment

It's not entirely clear how to deploy a Sunderer. I have deployed from a Sunderer numerous times. And so I understand how useful a Sunderer can be as a remote spawn point for your faction. But after I try to drive a Sunderer off the lot, I failed at deploying it. It turns out that you have to unlock a Sunderer ability in order to do so. That ability is the "Sunderer Advanced Mobile Station (S-AMS)" certification, which requires 50 cert points to unlock.

It's probably the first thing you should unlock as soon as you have 50 cert points. That's because once you've deployed a Sunderer, your teammates can all spawn on it, giving you valuable experience points (translates into cert points) and helping you win the war.

The "Sunderer Advanced Mobile Station (S-AMS)" certification is under the "Utility" category. After unlocking it, you have to equip it on your Sunderer, prior to its spawn, at a vehicle terminal. Once it's in the field, you press the deploy button (b) while sitting in the Sunderer. Be sure to deploy in a non-conspicuous location. Otherwise, it's likely that the enemy will destroy it very quickly.

Not that when you exits the Sunderer, a twenty minute timer starts counting down. At the end of the twenty minutes, the Sunderer is destroyed. But if you enter the Sunderer and exits, the timer resets back to twenty minutes. If you stay in the Sunderer, there is no count down. This timer applies whether you deploy the Sunderer or not. The following video demonstrates the count down timer on the Sunderer.

You will receive 2 experience point for each team member that spawns from the Sunderer. Anyone who enters the Sunderer will disable the count down. The count down will reset when everyone exits the Sunderer.
