Android OS: Polymod 2.1g vs. Super Eclair Lite 2.1 RLS5

So far, I have two different distributions of Android OS 2.1 installed on my Verizon XV6900 (HTC Touch). They are both very cool and each has its strength and weakness. I with the two are combined into one excellent distribution.

The Polymod 2.1g is really stable and reliable in many instances. However, the responsiveness seems to be lacking. Many times, I'd click an app, or perform a touch gesture and it'd take several seconds before anything happens. If I wasn't experimenting with Android, I'd think the phone is unusable. On the other hand, almost everything seems to work. The "Market" only shows free apps. It'd be nice if I can get access to all the apps. It has a really nice Android wall paper.

The Super Eclair Lite 2.1 RLS5 really blew me away at first. It's so fast that it really give me a good feel for what a real Android phone could do. But it seems to be buggy. For example, the ringer volume settings crash right at launch. Luckily the volume slider still works. But I think the only thing that makes this distribution unusable is the "Market". In this distribution, Market shows both free and paid contents. But every few seconds, it crashes. I found no way to work around this problem, meaning I can't get any apps using this distribution.

I'm forced to deal with the slowness of Polymod 2.1g and the inability to download apps on the Super Eclair Lite 2.1 RLS5. Only time will tell if the authors to these distributions will combine the strength into one awesome distribution.
