Space or No Space

While using T9word mode the [Space] button accepts the word but does not append a space behind the word. It does this so that you can type concatenated words that are not in the T9word dictionary, such as "gypsymoth". To accept the word and automatically append a space, use the [MENU/OK] button.

Where is the Phone Status?

The Opera Mini browser optimizes screen space by getting rid of the top status bar. The status bar has vital information like signal strength, alert mode, BlueTooth, and battery life. It can get annoying without the status bar some times when you are waiting for a web page to load. Turn your phone over. There is a secondary screen back there with most of the status information. The only information missing is the transfer status.

Entering Alphanumeric Characters in T9word Mode

T9word mode makes text entry really quick. But some times, you just want to type a letter or word that is not in the T9 dictionary. Although it makes sense to switch to Alpha mode for long words, it is a pain if you just want to type a letter or a number. The trick is to press the letter or number button, then use the [Next] button to pick the right character. Finally, use the [Space] button to move onto the next character. Or use the [MENU/OK] button to move onto the next word.
