Moving the Cursor Quickly

When you are editing a long string in a text field or a text box, you can move back and forth quickly by switching to "T9 (English)" mode. The cursor in the "T9 (English)" mode moves one word at a time. Once you get to the position you want to edit, switch to "Alpha" mode to move the cursor one character at a time.

Re-Submitting Forms Without Losing the Data

When you try to submit an online form, with text box and text area, and you get an error message like "Vision service is not available" or like "Connection failed", the web browser will ask if you want to "Retry". If you click "Retry", then you will lose the data that you've already entered. Instead, if you click the "BACK" button or "Done" button, the data is retained and you can submit again when your phone have a stronger signal.

Start the Browser on the Last Page

You can configure the browser so that it starts on the last web page you visited by changing the Launch Page setting in the Preferences menu. But sometimes the browser will still take you to the default home page. If you haven't turned off the phone, them the last page is still in memory. You can get there by pushing the BACK button.

Other Web Browsers

As powerful as the built-in Obigo Browser is, there are other browsers that works with the A900M cell phone. You can use the built-in browser to download and install another web browser.

One faster and more potent browser is the Opera Mini browser. Point the built-in browser to http://OperaMini.com/ to download and install the Opera Mini browser. You can test drive the Opera Mini Simulator with the GearHack web site by clicking here.

Still the Best Browser When the Battery is Low

Even if you use another browser on your A900M, you don't want to forget about the default Obigo Browser. When your phone battery is running out, the A900M will automatically shutdown third-party games and applications (including other browsers). While there aren't enough power to run other browser, the default Obigo Browser will run just fine on low battery conditions. And you can still browse the net for a while before your phone completely dies.

Faster Scrolling with the Volume Buttons

The volume button on the side of the phone provides much faster scrolling than the directional pad. Use to move the web page up and down quickly.
