Hard Drive Not Recognized Outside External EnclosureI have a HGST 0F27488 Ultra 9.77 TB SATA Hard Drive that I've placed into a Seagate Expansion Desktop Drive SRD00F2 external enclosure. The case was made for a 4TB SATA HDD. It formatted the 10TB drive just fine and I've been using it for many years now. Today, I took the drive out of the enclosure. I put it into a SATA USB docking station and turned it on. Disk Management in Windows shows the drive online with 2 partitions:
But it wouldn't let me do anything with the drive or any of the partitions. Right-clicking on each partition and the drive itself shows a menu with everything disabled other than "Properties" and "Help". It wouldn't let me re-partition, format, or delete partition. What is happening here? Joe
